Metropolitan ・ Opera 2022-2023 Season Full Program Description ！

The "Let's Enjoy Opera ！" promoters' group, in cooperation with the Japan Club, will hold the 8th "Let's Enjoy Opera ！" Talk ・ Event - Commentary on the entire Metropolitan ・ Opera Season ！ on September 15, （ Thursday ） from 6:30 pm. The event will be held as an in-person event.

The Met's next season will begin on September 27. What kind of operas, what kind of singers and conductors will be coming to the Met until June 10 next year ？ What kind of lineup of new operas will be produced this season ？ and other questions will be answered by a self-proclaimed "opera explorer" who loves opera, Fred ・ Mr. Plotkin, a self-proclaimed "opera explorer" who loves opera, will answer these questions and more. This talk ・ event will be held in English, and will be followed by a conversation with Sumiko Ito, the founder of "Explore the Pleasures of Opera ！". In the second part, each member of the "Let's explore the joys of opera ！" initiating committee will introduce "my favorite opera" that you must not miss. Please join us.

Fred ・ Plotkin
One of America's most prominent opera commentators. He has commentated on radio ・ television, lectured at the Met and other opera houses and museums, and blogged extensively. He holds the "Adventures in Italian ・ Opera" course at New York University and offers interviews with famous opera singers ・ conductors. His books include the bestselling "Opera 101 ： The Complete Guide to Learning and Enjoying Opera" and "Classical Music 101 ： The Complete Guide to Learning and Enjoying Classical Music." He lives in New York City.

Sumiko Ito
Lives in New York. After working as a Japanese Government National Officer and Investment ・ Banker, became a corporate business strategy consultant. She has served on the boards of arts foundations in the U.S. and Japan and is currently a board member of Kronos ・ Quartet ・ Performing ・ Arts （ San Francisco ）. He became an opera ・ freak after getting to know Jonas ・ Kaufmann and translated and published Jonas ・ Kaufmann ： Tenor in November 2016.
