Japanese animation is now very highly regarded overseas It is also highly acclaimed overseas and is now one of Japan's most popular pop cultures. Japanese anime has been translated into local languages and introduced all over the world. Many foreigners say that it was anime and manga that first introduced them to Japan. It is said that it was "Astro Boy" broadcast in the United States in 1963 that triggered the spread of Japanese anime overseas. Astro Boy" is a story about a boy robot named Astro Boy who has feelings. It boasted high viewer ratings and was popular with many people. Furthermore, Japanese animation has become famous overseas largely because of the many animated films produced by Studio Ghibli. As evidenced by the Academy Award winning "Spirited Away," Ghibli's films have many fans around the world.

Why is it that Japanese animation has become so popular among the many animated films produced around the world? The quality of the drawings is high, and they are delicately drawn with attention to detail. In addition, Japanese anime has a wide variety of genres such as school, romance, science fiction, sports, combat, and mystery. This is said to be the reason why many works with content that can be enjoyed by adults have been produced.

In this exhibition, visitors will see how Japanese animation has also influenced contemporary American artists of all races, transcending the boundaries of fire art and entertainment to create a spectacular world.
