We are looking for friends to enjoy meals and conversation with while in New York City!

Hello. I am a business traveler coming to New York from Japan. I plan to stay here for a couple of weeks, but I have a long-standing connection with New York and will likely come back several times this year. During my stay, I would be happy to have a friend to share a meal or a drink with on weekends or Friday nights without being overbearing. I get tired of eating in hotels and living in hotels, so I feel like I would like to refresh myself with good restaurants and pleasant conversation.

I won't go so far as to say, "Come on over and I'll buy you a drink ！," but I will loosen my purse strings a bit. However, I am a commoner who gets scared of "mysterious numbers written on a blackboard" in a fancy restaurant, so please forgive me for that.
