The Japan Club and Ms. Sumiko Ito ）, representative of （ "Let's Explore the Pleasures of Opera ！," will co-sponsor this popular annual opera appreciation event and study session. The third program will be "The Hours" （, a contemporary opera that intertwines the lives of three women transcending time and space ）. We hope you will join us to see how love is spoken and sung in each opera. Tickets are approximately 2 for 1 for the grand tier （ and 2 for the second floor ）. From here you will have a good view of the entire stage, close proximity to the singers, and excellent acoustics. Applications are due approximately two weeks prior to each viewing.

Kensho ・ Watanabe, conductor of "The Hours," will explain what to see ・ and hear in this new opera. Maestro ・ Watanabe was born in Japan ・ and raised in the United States ・ and currently lives in Paris. He is an up-and-coming conductor active on the world stage. He is highly trusted by Met Music Director Nézet ＝ Segan, who has entrusted him with conducting all performances of "The Hours" this season.

The story unfolds across time and space as the three simultaneously sing different lyrics to different music. It is the kind of magic that only opera can perform.
