Chef Mak Kwai Pui, who worked as a dim sum chef at Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong's Cantonese restaurant "Long Keung Keng", which was awarded three Michelin stars for four consecutive years, opened his own restaurant in 2009 with his partner, Chef Leung Fai Keung, with the idea of "bringing authentic taste in a more casual and everyday setting". Chef Mak Kwai Pui and his partner Leung Fai Keung opened the restaurant in 2009. The restaurant gained a reputation as a restaurant where one can enjoy the taste of a first-class hotel at an everyday price, and was awarded a Michelin star in 2010. It is now a world-famous restaurant that attracts many foreign tourists visiting Hong Kong.
